The job sheet

What we paint.

Starting prices for the three jobs we do most. Prep and primer are in the number, not tacked on after, and the painter who quotes it is the one who shows up.

Interior rooms

Walls, ceilings, and trim in low-VOC paint. Furniture centered and covered, floors protected wall to wall, holes patched and texture matched before a drop goes on.

from $425/room

Exterior & stucco

Pressure-wash, crack repair, prime, and an elastomeric coat built for a sun that fades flat paint in two summers. HOA color approval handled.

from $2900/home

Cabinets & trim

Doors and drawer fronts off, cleaned, sanded, sprayed in the shop, and rehung square. A kitchen that reads new for a fraction of new.

from $1650/kitchen

Two coats means two coats. The exact number comes after we see the walls, in writing, before anything is scheduled. Ask Indigo for a ballpark any hour.

How a job goes

Five steps. Straight line.

The same order at every house, because the order is what makes the finish last past the next summer.

    Walkthrough & color

We look at the walls in your light, brush out a sample or two, and write the number down.

  2. Running blue tape along the ceiling line before the first coat
    02

    Mask & prep

Furniture centred and covered, floors wall to wall, holes patched, texture matched.

  3. Rolling primer onto a bare, patched wall
    03

    Prime

Bare drywall, patches, and big color changes get primer. It’s in the quote.

  4. Rolling the first coat onto a taped wall, drop cloth down
    04

    Two coats

Kept to a wet edge so there are no lap marks. You’ll see the first coat dry before the second.

  5. Finishing a door frame under a work light before the final walk
    05

    Walk it with you

Every wall, every line. Touch-ups happen before we load the truck, not after you call.

About Ocotillo Painting Co.

A wall isn't done when it's covered. It's done when you can't find where one pass ended and the next one started.

Ocotillo is Nico and a three-person crew out of Peoria. The painter who walks your house is the one who paints it, and the number you get at the walkthrough is the number on the invoice.

What people say

“We picked a color off their tray on the website, half joking, and it's on our living room wall now. Nico and the guys were in and out in a day, the ceiling line is dead straight, and they put every book back on the shelf in order.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the color on the wall really match the chip?

Close, but light changes everything, which is why we bring the real fan deck to your place and look at it on your walls, in your light, at the time of day you're usually home. If you're between two colors we'll roll a sample of each on the wall before we commit. The tray on this page is a rough preview, not a paint match.

How long does an interior take, and can we stay in the house?

A typical room is a day including prep and two coats; a whole three-bedroom interior runs three to five days. Yes, you can stay. We work room by room, keep the dust down, and use low-VOC paint, so a room is usually usable again the same evening.

Our HOA has to approve exterior colors. Do you deal with that?

Yes. Most West Valley HOAs, Vistancia and Marley Park included, publish an approved palette and want a simple form with the body, trim, and accent colors. We'll pull the palette, help you pick from it, and file the request before we schedule the job so there's no surprise letter afterward.

Do you fix nail holes and drywall damage before painting?

Nail holes, dings, and small cracks are patched and texture-matched as part of every job at no extra charge. Larger drywall repairs, like a doorknob hole or water damage, are quoted separately and done before paint so the finish is seamless.
